MyCancerAdvisor.com is the inspired creation of our Editor-in-Chief, Charles M. Balch, MD, FACS. His vision is to create the premier multi-media, interactive patient education site and link it with the comprehensive resources and information available on PatientResource.net. One site for patient advocacy and empowerment through education, and one site for sharing information and connecting with others to create a community of learning and support.
When a nationally recognized oncologist brings his unique and knowledgeable perspective to the world of cancer, self-advocacy gets personal. Through a daily blog entry from Dr. Balch and other notable oncologists, the tone of expert analysis is set. Discussion becomes a two-way street as newly diagnosed and experienced cancer survivors weigh in on the topic at hand. You can post comments about a blog or other content and share cancer-related videos and articles to educate, inspire, and motivate each other, thereby creating an online community of learning and support.
